Smartec: a reliable client-oriented high-tech partner


Smartec founded in 1987 out of a laboratory concept. A temperature sensor was developed at the Dutch Delft University of Technology. This digital sensor proved to be more accurate and stable compared to other digital temperature sensors.The Smartec temperature sensors didn’t need calibration and were extremely stable and reliable.

After the introduction of the digital temperature sensor, the humidity sensor and infrared sensor were introduced to the market.Followed by launching the Universal Transducer Interface (UTI) and a complete line of pressure sensors in the range of 0.01 PSI until 300 PSI.

Due to close co-operation for years between PhD students and researchers the improved version of Smartec's digital temperature sensor, named SMT172, was introduced in 2015. SMT172 has shown to be the most accurate sensor in the world. In the meantime thousands of this new sensor have been distributed worldwide.   

Over the years Smartec has built up strategic alliances with first class companies like the semiconductor companies in the Far East as well as with European companies.

These alliances have led to long-term partnerships, excelling in close cooperation in research and development, not only with Smartec but also with Universities of Technology all over Europe.

We continuously  extend our global sales network which results being represented in more than 20 countries all over the world.

News

The SMT172 has been introduced successfully to the market in 2015 and is a real successor of the SMT160-30. Not only accuracy but also power consumption is much less. A very strong feature is the possibility to measure with a resolution of better than 0.0001 Kelvin, without any extra effort. This makes the sensor suitable for all kind of "lab on a chip"applications and  bioreactors.
